RPS Stewartsville (formerly part of the Yanoff organization) was originally incorporated in 1966 by I. Arthur Yanoff. Arthur Yanoff began his insurance career during the early 1950's as a life and Accident and Health producer and eventually a property and casualty retail insurance broker. During his tenure as a broker he established a general agency relationship with several companies and secured a license to place surplus lines business. This Agency operation dealing only with retail brokers proved to be very successful and Mr. Yanoff sold his retail brokerage business in 1966, devoting full time to the general agency surplus lines business.

After decades of successful growth, the Yanoff organization became part of Risk Placement Services (RPS). Through this important merger, RPS Stewartsville became capable of offering a broadened line of services and solutions, along with combined strength and industry experience.
