On October 1, 1997, Michael Vaughan-Fowler formed a new partnership called Alternative Market Specialists. After experiencing rapid growth derived from delivering long-term value to our clients and their designated intermediaries, Alternative Market Specialists become part of Risk Placement Services (RPS) soon after. Renamed to PSI Program Managers in 2009, RPS PSI provides domestic and foreign representation in the insurance marketplace with specialist marketing, brokerage, and consulting services.

RPS PSI exclusively represents the All Lines Aggregate Program: a combined property, general liability, auto liability, professional liability, workers' compensation, and crime insurance product - available only in the United States - that affords clients the opportunity to pay their own "frequent" claims while transferring their "severe" claims to an A rated [by A.M. Best] insurer. In addition, RPS PSI is capable of providing sales, marketing, consulting, underwriting, claims and third party administration services consulting, and common sense "how-to" expertise to alternative market buyers.

RPS PSI consists of a team which previously worked with Michael on the ALA program; a unit that specialized in the retailing of other alternative market programs; and experienced specialist underwriters. This team of 14 professionals has in total more than 200 years of experience with ALA products, pools, stand-alone self-insureds, captives, rent-a-captives and various traditional insurance transfers.

RPS accepts business from over 7,000 independent agencies and brokerages across the country. On behalf of the agents it serves, RPS places that business with over 200 of the world`s finest insurance companies.
